This style originated in the seventies of the last century. The homeland of trash polka is considered the western part of Berlin. And the origin story is inseparably linked with names like Volko Mershsky and Simon Plaff.
They took ideas from posters of modern movements, pop culture, and were also inspired by the army tattoos of NATO fighters. This strange combination didn't have much popularity with people at first.
Only two decades later, having opened their own tattoo salon, the pair of creators was able to spread their ideas and bring the boldest ideas to life. Thus, we can say that the style of thrash-polka is a modern young style of body painting.
